What happened to Battle Chasers?

Can someone explain to me what ever happened to Battle Chasers. I've been collecting comics for 20 years, and it was the single greatest series ever. The imagination...the artwork. Every single character that appeared, even minor characters, could have had their own series (ramasith, brass, etc.).

What happened?

A break from comics that has lasted years already. I'm not gonna be one of those fans that say "F this guy, I am never buying B.C. again!" What I will say is that I think his Battle Chasers work eclipses everything else he does and though I know the other stuff brings in the better money, I cannot wait until he gets back to his pride and joy. The art was brilliant, and the story captured my imagination (no easy feat, I'm a fickle jerk). All I wish for from the guy is some kind of... anything. "I'm done with it" or "temporary hiatus" or "indefinite hiatus" would be better then nothing.

Nothing has been mentioned. All that has been said is like what he said on the E3 video that he would like to get back to it eventually, but there has never has been a date mentioned.

Mad! really did have a great series on his hands...i was upset wen i heard that it was on hiatus...how many issues were there of BC, cus i think i only have up to 5...

No there is no issue 10, Joe went into game art and such, but have heard he is coming back to comics...just not BC. I have the compelation of comics 1-5 graphic novel, then some of the actual comics like issue 1, 3, 6, 8, and 9, but I wish he would continue it. I would like to get my hands on 7 before he gets to it.

I would love to explain,

let me start by saying i love joe mad hes on my top 3 artist list and battle chasers is my hands down favorite of all time.
HE always had a dream of going into video games, so he instantly sold out. now you might think this is harsh and that i couldn't be a fan but hold on. first it took him 3 years to come out with nine comics, then when he tried to start tri lunar ( his game studio) he completely stop ed battle chasers, and refused to sell the right s. which means know one can finish it or even continue it if the even wanted to. Tri lunar tanks fast surprise surprise(game he started sucked why not make a bc game?) And everyone hopes that bc is going to come back instead he trades publishers and refuses to ever really speak on the issue.
Read an interview any interview with him he claims to love his fans and battle chasers but thats it he never talks any further on either issue. and its not like he doesn't know how popular it is or the outcry for a next issue(10) . In a nut shell hes a self absorbed hot shot artist who thinks hes a business man taking advantage of all his fans who are nothing but loyal who is completely and utterly resentfully of the fact battle chasers is what makes him famous all though its not is all his work and his unique and aw some style and the passion he had coming into the business.

Victorious this is your first post..are you serious! you registered here and used your first post for this nuts..count this as your first warning.

If people think I'm in some kinda bad attidude you're d**n stright I am. This crap is getting out of hand, seriously think before you post something.

If people think I'm being hard on Victorious...let me once again point out some things..because I'm sure someone will say "it's his opinion" or some crap. Opinions are fine but you got to do it in a way better way than this.

1. He used his first post for starting crap that's been discussed so many times it boggles the mind.

2. there is other threads with this same ranting that he could've posted in, so he didn't bother to search or read anything.

3. It's his first post for god sake why did you even register here to post this crap. This is the JOE MAD FAN site that means the people here enjoy Mad! art and even if they have some problems with what he did can at least talk about it without being a thingy about it. If you want to discuss this old grabge start your own boards and ruin your own site..you don't need to come here and ruin mine.

I'm gonna start a rules page and when it goes up if people don't bother to read it and continue to post this kinda garbage you're gonna be banned stright away.

I want to start by apologizing if i offended you. I'm not trying to ruin any ones fun and your right this is you web site, but i am a real fan with issues with how he conducts him self and know matter how you or anyone feels i just put out the facts.
Thats the truth you read and nothing more i have spent quite a long time trying to figure out why he did what he did and these are nothing more than the facts he is what inspired me to take my art and interest in comics further. but every time i get excited i have been let down, thats the truth.

Getting kicked from this web site would be that last thing i would want i look forward to all the awesome talks and possibility's to share story's and have a good time. so again i apologize for offending you but not for speaking the truth and i you wanna ban any one for that then you need to set some ground rules so we know whats allowed. MadMan i think your sit is awesome( this is not me kissing your butt to stay on ) please consider the things i have said feel free to talk to me directly i want to get to know all of you. and yes this is my first post i had no intentions of doing anything but answering the question to the fullest,and unfortunately reality sucks sometime.

Also, madman i feel like your getting mad at my post has more to do with previous post like this or worse then it has do to with my actual post. again i apologize if i mad you feel attacked.

I understand what you wrote and I know a lot of people feel the same way. I just get frustrated because it's been talked about so many times and nothing is ever solved. He left BC and wanted to go to games there really isn't any other explanation other than that. I just want these boards to be a place people can talk and appreaciate what he's doing then and now and the work he did on the games too. Some people did love BC but they also loved the work he did for the games and you really can't go anywhere on any other message boards and bring up that you like Mad! and not have someone attack you or bring the same stuff about leaving BC or scheduals or whatever and I want this place to be a place free of that for people.

Either way it was just a warning, if you still feel you want to talk about this subject I made a section people can go crazy in. You can say whatever you want about Mad! in there and I won't moderate it unless it gets really crazy.

More importantly i am starting work on a game that slowly and surly we want to get produced it will take time money all that good stuff if your a fan of bc and on-line game s please i love to bounce some ideas, so let me know. i know this seem s vague but i don't know if your interested. basically I'm a business man( who cant spell) lol who wants to help others let me know.
