This is a petition for Joe Madureira to continue Battle Chasers. I want you guys and girls to write down your full names, location and reason why Joe has to finish this series. Hopefully Joe Madureira can take notice of this since he visits the forum and do like a quarterly issue run every year since Joe is busy with his game art duties. We're not rabid fan boys, we know Joe Mad is busy with other duties, we only ask for like a quarterly run every year.
Who shall go first?

Name: Tom Location: New York Why: Battle Chasers was such a breath of fresh air. The combination of fantasy, sci-fi, manga/anime influence, and other elements was just awesome. I get bummed sometimes looking at my weekly stack of comics these days and nearly every book is a superhero book. Superheroes are cool but variety is the spice of life! BC had unique characters, worlds, story, it would be wonderful to see it brought to life again, good for the comics industry too. I know you're busy, Joe, but I hope you will find the time to finish Battle Chasers someday for the waiting old fans and the new fans yet to discover the cool world of BC!

I'd love for him to continue it! I wonder how the art will look with his newer style. I think a TPB of it should be released (if there isnt one already) so as to build hype for it and maybe bring in new fans, and then he could start doing the book again! He sounds like he wants to focus on the game company though, so maybe in a few years it could be possible. He did say that:
"Dave, as far as re-releasing all the old Battlechasers material, people have bugged me about it on and off for years now. I may cave in sooner or later. Maybe sooner.. -Joe"

This quote is referring to a “re-releasing” of the “old battlechasers material”. So don’t get your hopes up to high. I’m not trying to burst anyone’s bubble, just don’t want anyone to hold there breath.
On the up side, if Mad! did put out the old stuff again it would most certainly be accompanied by some new material, if not from Mad! then some other artiest he holds in high regard.

That's what I mean, that the old issues wouldn't just randomly be re-released if the series wasn't going to continue. I mean it could, but that would be getting people's hopes up!

Yeah, I don't see much point in re-releasing the old material if the story is not going to be resolved or continued in some form with new material. Hopefully Joe finds the time to finish Battle Chasers right someday.

Don't want burst anyone's bubble but that's really unlikly anytime soon. Joe has tried the quartely thing before and it didn't work. Obviously being the game director and concept designer is taking most of his time. He somehow made it happen with Ultimates 3 but he had a good lead time and flexibility. This year he's gonna be real busy working on Darksiders cuz it's due out this fall. So if Joe does decided to do Battle Chasers again on a "Quaterly Schedual", we probably won't see it till the end of 2010 or early 2011.
The only way we'll see battle chasers on a steady schedual is if Joe decides to go the Mcfarlane/Turner way and let someone else draw it. I would take that over no battle chasers at all any day. Joe can do the covers and the plot, someone else writes it and another person draws it. I'm sure it's probably more complicated than that or joe would have done it a long time ago.

I hope Joe never let someone else draw BC, it never be the same, BC is the perfect combination of art and story, BC whit out the Mad work would never be BC for me

He's gonna have to give up one and I doubt it very much that it will be his job at Vigil Games. So if you want BC before 2012 on a regular monthly basis, it has to be drawn by someone else.

I'm curious to see how his art on it would be. Would he still use a similar style that focuses on cleanliness and lineart, or would he make it reflect his more loose, sketchy style on Ultimates.

President Nelson from MN (Jim Lee is coming here in 2 days.....anyway....) because it inspired a ton of people like myself to draw.....and I want to see more comics in that style....so I want to see it continue so I can see an improvment of art and stories in comics..........
