They did it for the old Ultimates, so maybe with luck we'll get a pencils-only version of it?

That would be so sweet. One of my favourite LOOKING comics is Adam Warren's Empowered. The pencils are just beautiful, and on every teaser picture I've seen of Ultimates 3 I liked the pencils version a million times more than the colours.

Hopefully Marvel listens to the fans and does do a special pencil edition. I know all of Joe's fans would love that, and I think they make up a big portion of the people who are reading this book. Considering Marvel did a black and white version of that Loeb/Simone Bianchi Wolverine run, I think a pencil edition of Joe's Ultimates stuff is easily justifiable. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hi Guys, well I dropped a mail to Joe Quesada asking if there would be a pencils only version and he said 'I believe they have something in the works'.
Straight from the horses mouth!!

True. I know that in the past Marvel have announced plans for projects that have then since not appeared, however seeing as 5 issues doesn't make for a particularly big trade paperback I expect Marvel will look to release as much ancilary art etc so that it will pad out any forthcoming TPB.
But hey, hearing it from JQ himself, that makes it sound as though it has a more than likely chance of appearing. Cool eh!
