I got a copy of the HOM #1 cover today. My local comic shop gave it to me for $10  I also agree that Joe and Jeph will do a Spidey book, but I heard the rumors that they might be doing the Ultimates v.3... I hope that's not true, I'm not a big Ultimates fan. |

I was a fan of the Ultimates. But, the 2nd run really got boring to me really fast. I dunno, I am getting bored with alot of comics. I miss the insane action. That's why I am psyched about Joe and Jeph working together. You know that it won't be a "talking heads" type of book.
Which means, my buying list will be
the mystery Joe Mad/Jeph Loeb project
Jim Lee/Frank Miller's All Star Batman and Robin
Jim Lee/Grant Morrison's Wildcats

hmm I don't like the sound of the Ultimates rumor.. I don't know anything about that book, but I would hope he would get a whole new book, but ya know a mini series or a more main title book..like going back to UXM or Amazing Spiderman, but whatever it is I'm already on board.

Well, it would be thier own book. Keeping with the trend of the Ultimates, it would be titled Ultimates 3. I dug Jeph's take of an Ultimates type of team in Superman/Batman. I doubt it would be that, though an action packed take on the Ultimates, without the overt political commentary would be cool (part of the reason why I lost interest in the Ultimates, Millar was playing up on the political commentary a bit too much).
But, knowing Jeph, the book will probably be a stand alone mini or maxi series. Hopefully, it isn't a oneshot deal. I would dig it alot if it's like a year long 12 issue mini, which would be cool, especially if they collect it later in a larger format HC, like the ultimate books.
But now that he's with Marvel, I can imagine them reprinting the Joe Mad visionaries tpb again, this time with better printing. Kinda like what they did with the series of Todd McFarlane visionaries, collecting every issue he did. Hell, if I was Joe, I'd talk to Marvel in regards to reprinting the Battle Chasers tpb through Icon. Or, hell, even better, get a new swanky HC of all the BC issues.
That'd be an awesome idea, considering all of that's been out of print for quite some time.

OMG!, JOE IS DOING FREAKIN 12 ISSUES OF ULTIMATES VOL.3 PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. FREAKIN YAY!!!!!!!!!!!. You know the ONE THING i love?. Not too many people are filled on who Joe is, think about it....why does everyone call Joe a 'slow' artist lol?. The man did CONSECUTIVE issues of x-men for some years lol. I guess i bring this up because of some crap comments on the comicon pulse boards. Joe has NO problems with a monthly book unless something unnatural happens like an injury or the sort. I can bet ANYONE around that Joe doesnt miss ONE ISSUE, nor will he get ANY LATE;).
