Hey guys,

I just wanted to say thank you again for the overwhelming support. I just got back from convention hell as I was in LA and SD for E3 and Comicon back to back. It really was awesome meeting all the fans of both the books, and Darksiders, which is the reason I was out there.

When I asked people how they knew I would be at the show, like 9 out of 10 of them said they read about it on Joemadfan.com! You guys rock!

God I did alot of nutsTY sketches at the show. Which is why I never really do sketches. I did do a decent one for Nathan, so hopefully you get it Nate, and I wasn't conned.

I met alot of cool people out there, and wish I had more time to walk around, because there were some of my fave artists there that I've never gotten the chance to meet ( like Mignola and Berni Wrightson ). Picked up a ton of art and sketchbooks. So much good stuff out there.

Anyhow, once I get this last issue of Ultimates wrapped up, and I stop working two full time jobs, I will hopefully have alot more free time to mess around on the boards. Ok, I'd better get back to drawing this page WITH HULK ON IT ;D

I'm glad that a lot of people heard about it. Adam asked me to spread the news that you guys were going to be there. I posted it on a lot of places. I hope he was there and heard that people heard it from my site, he was thinking of making me part of the team for Darksiders, but I don't know yet, haven't heard back from him..sure he's busy too.

What were some of the other sketches you did at the show?

Don't know if you remember me, but I met you at E3 a few years back when you happened to walk up next to me to check out Lost Planet and you had your name badge on backwards to hide your identity or something. But I knew and I said "What's up Joe Mad!" and we had a small chat. That was funny because you looked so confused as to how I knew you and you kept looking at me and down at your name badge, and then back at me. Hahah. You signed all of my comics the year before that when you were at the Tabula Rasa booth too. Thanks for that.

I am so thankful to Nate for keeping this site running for so long, even during the quite times (which were HELL for Mad fans) when we weren't getting all this glorious art from you Joe. And its awesome to have you visiting the boards. Darksiders looks awesome on its own merits, but I would be lying if i said i wasnt getting it solely because its got your signature style all over.

d**n, I wanted my brother to nab a sketch from Mad, but its funny, amidst all the hating Joe gets, his lines are ALWAYS full....odd I wonder lol. So yes, the line was huge and he was with Top Cow anyway so blargh.....Show us Nathen when your sketch arrives, lucky bastard lol! Joe, I absolutely love the 'Metal Slug; avatar. Hands down one of the most gorgeous 2D games ever created. I die I don't know how many times because im also slobbering at the backgrounds, animation, etc.

Glad to hear the convention tours are finally over for Joe as its resulted in the fans getting a heap load of new art material. The play cover looks brilliant, infact the art on Darksiders up to press has been fantastic. Im eager for its release!

The main question on everybodies lips is, is the Darksiders comics going to be released in paper format as well as online - I sure hope so anyway! i will keep my eyes peeled on Joemadfan.com for answers as always.

Thanks for popping in, Joe! The artwork that has been released recently for both Darksiders and Ultimates has been incredible. I'm dying to play the game and read issue 5 of U3!

I too am hoping the Darksiders comic will be more than just online.

Joe, it was really cool to finally meet you at SDCC! I've been waiting for years to get to see you at a comic convention, and I mumbled my way through how big of a fan I am of your work (the three times I waited in line for your signings). Your run on Uncanny is the reason I even started reading comics, and I'm ecstatic that you're doing Ultimates now. And Darksiders looks really cool! (So that's what I meant to say in person but couldn't quite get out.)

Also, thanks again for the Gambit & Rogue sketches you did for me. And as promised, I sent out the sketch to Nathen yesterday, so he should be getting it early next week. It's really amazing, and he deserves it for all the work he does for this site.

Hey Joe, just wanted to say how truly inspirational your work is for me. I've been trying to meld Western and Eastern styles into one for awhile and when I saw your work I fell in love instantly and have been working on making my style better ever since. Unfortunately I live in the UK so I can't really come to any of the Cons you're at but I'll continue admiring your stuff from afar lol ^^ I'm especially looking forward to playing Darksiders, it looks amazing =D

In case you don't know it,you've hit the shores here in Nigeria,Africa since your x-men days at marvel and battle chasers at cliffhanger. now u are doing darksiders and ultimates! you've come a long way man. too bad i didn't have the opportunity to be at the conventions but thanks to Nathan,he keeps us posted on whats happening with you.(thanks Nate!) ;D

you've been a major inspiration to my life and artstyle.....the excitement i get seeing your art is like the excitement i get unwrapping a birthday gift.

Cool sketch Riot...Joe's Cap sketches from the show remind me of Ed Mcguinness' work.
