Hey thanks for the congratulations. It sure seemed like it took a long time to get a job finally...I'd rather be doing an art related job, but I'm happy with this job for now.
I'm working for a company called Interstate Brands they're part of Hostess..so I have to move boxes of Twinkies and Ding Dongs..I'm gonna get fat probably.

Well if your going to get fat, what better way to do it then this. In any case if the job pays well then you have to do what you have to do. good luck and my the twinkie god smile on you as you care for there little friends.

Just letting people know I start tomorrow so probably won't be around much this weekend. I have to be at work at 5am in the morning..ahhh! so I got to get up like at 3am..super ahhhh!

Well the first day went okay. It's a lot of hard work specially having to stand for like 10hrs stright..my legs were hurting this morning. I worked 1hr overtime too, so in total I made $130 for my first day. In a week total I will make about 650$ which is about 1/3 of what I had all of last year..so I pretty excited to get my first pay check.

$31200 a year, that’s not bad. Is this before or after taxes? You don’t have to answer that, I'm just prying when I should not be.

I just got my paycheck today and for 1 days work plus the 3hrs of orientation I got 139$. Normally just for an 8hr day regularly I probably would get like 105$ and then any over time..which has been an average of 2-3hrs overtime..so another $38 or $57.
I figured out for a week I would get about 700$

Well so far I don't really like it. The people are nice and the pay is good, but it really is a lot of work..I definitely would like to be doing something else than this, but this is what I got to do for like the next year at least or two maybe to get my school loans paid off.
I do lots of different things. We work with Ding Dongs, Twinkies, etc and I basicly either am putting them in boxes or putting the boxes onto huge trays and then sticking them on racks..so either moving super fast or lifting heavy stuff.
It's in a factory and it smells like bread mix or something..you would think it would smell good, but it doesn't specially in the morning as you walk in.
Maybe next week when I get the big pay check it will start to feel better..I doubt it though I'd rather be doing art or something creative.

Well that sounds a little rough. Hang in there, not every job you get in life will be one that you like. So have you graduated with a degree? And if so what was it in?
