I've been up for th news from E3 this year and I find ths link www.n4g.com/News-50921.aspx and please look to the art work in the little picture look's allot like Joe style and after try to find more about the game I find that virgil and THQ work for this game so it's more chance to be joe Work the game name is Darksiders: Wrath of War So if any one find some art work of theis or confir or deny my theory please let me know ok |

Sorry to not reply but I have to work on the weekends. I saw the trailer for the game other day I've been following E3 as well and when I saw the armor I swore it was Mad! designed and now it's confirmed...game looks sweet.

Yep it does appear Joes been very busy....
The concept design for the 'man with crow...and no mouth' is spot on, my fave so far- Mad at his rawest in my opinion, as cool as colour looks in any art his skecthes seem to hold there own without! brilliant.
I take it the darksiders games is soley based on Mads vision? Thank god im getting a PS3 early nxt year (still retailing at $799 in the UK - extausion)!

Infact looking at the art again I have to say I also love the one with the horse charging in for battle, simply because you can see how the sketch has being plotted.
And how the hell do people use the red inking technique?? is this used via photoshop?
If anyone out there could point me in the right direct so I can educate myself on this pls don't hold your breath!

It looks like he just used regular pencil and colorized it in Photoshop.. which is really easy. Just go to Image>Adjustments>hue/saturation and then make sure colorize is checkmarked and then just adjust the hue etc. to any color that you want. I'm pretty sure that's what he did because you can see the airbrushing photoshop on some of the backgrounds.

I wrote Mad! asking for some more info on Darksiders, he said he just got back from E3 and would give me some more details in a couple days...hopefully that means some more art.
