hello guys im new here but i have been constatly in and out of these forums reading and observing artwork.
I want to learn how to draw like mad, iv only just became intrested in comic books about a year ago [since i saw mad's work] and iv been checking this site regulary..
could anybody recommend any books i should read?
or anything to help me? thanks..

Mad! in all rights is a great artist. He knows his anatomy,texures,facial expressions and all that good stuff,but he knows it from years of studying and practice.
I haven't seen any of your work,but learn your basic's first. Human anatomy,pespectives, general buildings stuctures, a dentist office.Plants, tree's.....etc.
The only thing that will get you close to drawing as good as MAD! is hardwork and years of practice. The Comicbook biz is hard to get in and even harder to stay. Get your own style and get more respect from the Pro's. If your going to idealize anything from MAD! Idealize his hard work and success he has earned over the years. Make your art your own.

Hello my name is Noel Garayua, I hope that soon they listen to it in comics. I want to be a professional sketcher, that is my dream and drawing from the 7 years. I create to know how how to draw like Madureira, and know that? There is a form nor no a secret, is it practices, it practices of years, for that will have to begin to study its evolution from deadpool (1993) to today. Its art I evolve myself more as a theory is developed with the passage of time, by its influences, their imagination and than nothing by its own liking to the drawing and to create an own style. It began to draw and I never imitate to anybody single one drew up what wanted and of this form began what today ameri-manga is called. Excuse my english is very bad, in fact I am using a translator. I will leave here the evidence of which drawing as madureira single is reached with years and years of practices, here my drawings with years and years of it practices. Enyoy!!!    |

This is a very old topic  I may have sounded a bit noobish in asking how to draw like Mad, but I didn't mean the obvious. Mad has a lot of unique teachniques and trademarks some of them are easy to spot and replicate but others not so easy. Nice work by the way Noel, they all look very familiar tho |

The neck? Up to the fingers they are different, psss stupid guy It is the same style that madureira will seem equal but it is not the same jaja yeah a know it  are you a envy boy!!! men you cannot do a drawing like me, It does not mean that I am so bad as your And this one...Of what copy is???  and this??? Also is it a copy?  I suppose that this one will be another copy  jaja idiot |

Your attitude leaves much to be desired. In s i m p l e english: Don't say that. It's one thing to revive a two year old thread, hijacking it just to show off your own artwork. It's another thing to turn it into a flame war. I think Guardian already gave one of the best answers to the question. Garsoul, if you can't even spot the mistakes in your own drawings, you won't improve. And posting them up to boast about it just shows your unwillingness to learn. It's an insult to Mad! saying that you're going to take over him. As far as I know Mad! is still alive and well, and still drawing. Being able to draw exactly like Mad! only shows how unoriginal and uncreative you are. Nobody wants another Mad! lookalike artist, because Mad! the man is still around. But, you can't even draw exactly like Mad!. Your foundation in anatomy is too poor to even bother trying. On a lighter note, I'd say that as an artist, you have lots of potential. Stop trying to emulate Mad! all the time and you'll get better results. Create your own style, it's more fun that way. Go back to foundation - learn anatomy, perspective, tone, form, and colour. Expose yourself to other artists' works. I'd say if you do that, one day you might be able to live your dream and become a professional sketcher. If you're willing to learn, that is. |

You're right from now on you won't ever say anything because..Congratulations! you're the first person to be banned from these boards. I warned you in your other thread and you completely ignored me and continued to write arguments and in spanish...do you really think it's not just as easy for me to use a translator as it is for you..I can tell what you wrote.
If you post on other boards I suggest you realize you're not Joe Mad! or even close to being a professional. There's tons of problems with your attitude and your art and I'm sure everywhere you go you will probably be ignored or banned.
This is the first banning I've had to do, so if you feel that I'm not being unfair..tuff! You didn't listen and I'm tired of your crap..end of story you're banned.

I mean, it's cool to learn a couple of things from him, it's cool to know how to draw, but to comletely imitate him is a whole different story. If you want to Draw for a living you won't be able to, because you will be another Roger Cruz, ripping off styles and not doing anything for yourself.
