Yo, dude. How old are you man?
Concepts are great, just need a little help around some areas.
Firstly, you seem to have difficuly around the neck and jawline areas. My suggestion to you would be to study these areas a lot. Your girlfriend can help in this area. Let her stand in various poses and just spend a few minutes in each pose to absorb into memory how her neck and jawline lies. Remember, when we draw, we generally draw out of memory, so good to commit these to memory. Or study an anatomy book (hate saying that, seems so cliched). But does work. I prefer to study people though.
Secondly, don't be shy or afraid to go a bit overboard. Focus on areas that are important to each gender. For girls, focus on breasts, legs, waists etc. On guys, the muscles and strong jaw lines.
Thirdly, once you've drawn a picture, (start lightly in pencil first), then step back and look at it. See if anything looks out of place - wrong length, size, shape etc - then spend as long as it takes to get that area right. On the whole, a picture that looks great can be spoilt by one thing that is out of place. Look at my picture posted today in "quick work sketch". Here I made a mistake. If you look at the front arm you'll see that the forearm part is too short. Only picked that up now once it was posted. Remember: step back and view from a distance - maybe a couple of minutes later. This will give you a new perspective on the picture and point out any wrongs.
Finally, there is nothing wrong with realistic drawing, but most times in comics, it's fun to draw unrealistic in your own style.
Just my thoughts, use them, don't use them.
