I normally like to be able to see the whole picture before clicking on it, so I prefer larger thumbs.
But considering that most of Mad's fans will know most of his work, I guess putting in small thumbs will work. Heh heh, maybe you should just go with whatever causes you less work...

k I made like a test page no background or anything just the pics. here is the bc test images page www.joemadfan.com/battlechasers.html there will be of course a background of some sort. What you guys think of the thumb size and loading? I still have to work on the code some more too, so if something on the page looks messed up let me know.

It looks good Madman, I think the thumbnail size is great. I'd get rid of the border around the images though (when you link on an image it has the blue border around it) just put border="0" in with the img src code. You might be doing that anyway though, just a suggestion

wohee, lokks quite good , id move it to either the right or left side if you want a certain picture for the background (like you did on the current index page) along with the Background=fixed thing, i guess that would look quite good. Wheres my #1 Wallpaper? What resolution did you use for scanning the covers (if you scanned it from the actual issues)? so far so good i guess you can take over from here;)

Madjoy : hey thanks I thought I did that with the borders, but I can never tell cause of this Safari browser never shows the link borders.
claudox : yeah I scanned mostly everything I scan them in at 300dpi then I adjust the levels a little. Then I take the dpi down to about 150dpi then adjust the image size down.
I just picked up a book on javascript and css so hopefully I will learn to make something better.

Honestly I don't really care much about loading. I think yours is a decent rate though! Don't stinge on quality for the large pictures - keep your site as the best!
By the way, congrats on getting the cool sketch from Mad that says NATHEN - THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!
Gosh that is so Cool!!!!

The large pictures will be the same as they were before. I'm just making new thumbs.
