yeah, he's a big swiper. There was even a website i saw about 3 years ago that showed the similarities between his work and the people he stole from. If anyone has that website they should post it for us to see.

4 Real though Thats so sad I never knew any of this. I don't really have any Roger Cruz stuff. But man his stuff does look scary close to Joe's stuff. Man I was just starting to like that guy. I'm an artist too Madman and I had a friend who did something like that to me a while back. I was so pissed I was about to fight him but my boy chilled me down. I don't talk to that guy anymore. Man I just lost alot of respect 4 that guy. Joe I feel your pain.

Yeah the site was called swipe of the week or swipe of the month. You can still see it, but only like the main page works. Roger Cruz probably made up most of the list like 75% and most he did of Mad's stuff and there was a few other people he swiped from I think Jim Lee and some others. I would actually like Roger Cruz he is talented I just find it wierd and screwed up that every now and then he copies something, when he really doesn't seem like he would have to. But since he did decide to copy the stuff I will never buy anything of his. Even in some Xmen books Mad did on some of the panels like a character is reading the newspaper and it says Cruz swipes again and on some other panels as well.

I think that suks, I mean every artist start to draw like someone else at the begining but allways the style evolve and become a particular style, like when joe stared he's art look like art adams, but look now joe its the great artist ever (we all think that right ) but look like just copy and dont try to make some diferent. but anyway we was talking about taking over BC and I think the real cuestion here its what artist would you like for what story? I mean, for the Aramus journey who? etc...etc..., like what character story fix whit what art style , I mean I will love see the adventures of Ryon del Soya draw by humberto ramos cause I think that will be a rel funny and dangerous story and the Ramos cartooning style fix really well (for me of course), or Monika story by Campbell, and Garrison by jim lee that would be cool, also I really whant to know what happend in the slave camps and know a little bit more of sebastius

My top choices would be Joe Mad, Jason Pearson, or Kaare Andrews. Those are the only artists that could handle it in my opinion.

ALVIN LEE! and the ret of the udon guys would make battle chasers crazy. but battler chasers is a darker book so maybe an anime style isnt the way to go.
andy kubert or salvador larocca and of course
theres on one better than the orginal: joe mad

:)I think Biroons has the best shot at taking over I saw his work and it is dead on if mad was really serious.

hello MAD! fans...... i feel sad hearing bout someone taking over B.C.....i am an artist myself n i feel that a creator owned title shuold be a "creator" owned title.only mad can do battle chasers best....no one else.......if MAD has his hands r full he shuold conclude it n move to something else.....i'm THE thickest manga/MAD! fan from Africa in the world and i think it should be done by him alone......thanks and manga forever!!! ;D

i think if anyone was to take over the BC series J. Scot Campbell would be awesome. he really displays that manga/american style that MAD! has (though not quit as good but noticable) and i think he could carry it over pretty d**n well.

hey peeps, roger cruz taking over from mad on bc? i havent laughed so much in ages. even though hes swiped from mad on countless occasions, his work on xman was awesome, fresh, and he seemed to have had a style of his own, check it out if u can. as for taking over on bc, the only people who i think could do the book justice, would be ian churchill, or jim lee. Ian c's work on the coven, (which was being published bout the same time as chasers started) was what got me interested in comics in the first place. jim lee cos hes a god. but no one in the business comes close to mad, who is without a doubt the greatest penciller in comicdom

hey gladiator22 I deleted one of the posts because it was just repeated 3 times. That has been my first time really moderating anything, so don't take it personal or anything. I'm just trying to keep the boards more clean...well I'm starting to atleast of double posts.
Well I've already said how I feel about Roger Cruz whether I'm a Mad! fan or not and I still feel the same and there's no way I will ever buy or say his work is good(even decent)...ever. He needs to be banned from the world of art for good.
