In the "interview" Torsor made, Joe Mad mentionen he thought about the Idea of somebody taking over Battle Chasers, well i dont think its gonna happen, but i would like to know who you (the reader of this ;D ) would like to see, doing a Battle Chasers Sequel/Spin off.
Here are my three favorites: -The guy that drew the Dark Angel Manga...forgot his name but he has the fantasy look edged out....awesome work.
-Frank Miller draws Battle Chaser: Garrison.....imagine that....since the darker past of Garrison has been hinted on several times, this would be an Grade A read.....and you dont have anyone saying "hes trying to make it look like Joe did it"
and finally: ME!......well, on the other hand ....i guess ill better stick to Danger Girl since im much better in drawing nice behinds than Swordfights ;D
Heya Nathen if you got a similar thread going on just throw this in there. Later

yeah I have a couple, Mad! actually asked me the question too in an email once.
I would say
LeSean: He has that animated hiphop/anime style. I've seen his pics of Garrison and some others. Plus on one of the new Cannon Busters pics one of the characters has a face plate excatly the same as brettos, so he must be a fan.
Hyung Tae Kim: he draws hot when and people used to say they like him just as much as Mad! on the old boards. After seeing the Street Fighter pages he did I think he could fit.
Arnold tsang and udon crew and I'm sure a lot of others I could think of but I will just go with those.

Im agree whit madman I think Hyung Tae Kim would be cool, but for real I spect no one take BC ever just Mad, (except for me of course, I'm just kiding) but I will love see campbell, ramos, but I think if that happend BC will never be the same.

yeah I don't think he would ever let someone take over like he says on the tape it's his baby and I can already hear the replies to that.... if it's his baby why don't he go back to it....cause he wants to do video games right now and people are allowed have more than one child.
So don't worry biroons I don't think it will happen. When he asked me who I would like to see I think it was more for fun type question.

hmmmmm.....but how about a spin off....like "the Robot Wars" for example.....im talkin about Brettos origin so to speak. Remember this big splash page from Frank Frazettas Fantasy Illustrated? I guess some people have it. Or maybe "The Adventures of Ryon del Soya: Sky Pirate" or "AramusĀ“ Journeys" (since he never seems to be at home *hehe*) this book got so much potential without even touching the storyline! wheres the fan fiction? stop drawing monika guys and get some pages done

I would love to see Ed Mcguinness draw it, or Mark Brooks, or Ale Garza. Especially to retain the Joe Mad feel to the art.
Hell, I would love to see Udon studios do it.

Also, spin offs would make the wait a bit better till the original book comes back.

I think each character could have their own seperate stories, like the robot wars and Aramus journey thing and there could be one with Knolan and the other wizards he fought or Garrison and how he became the best swordsman. A Bengus and Akiman side stories with Monika of course. I would like to see more about Brass Demur he says that Garrison is his greatest adversary, so they must have fought before. Also how about one with Maestro, I think it's pretty much endless with the possiblities of ideas with all the characters from BC.

Roger Cruz would be sweet too! He has a simular style to that of Joe's. Just check out the gallries at his sight. www.rogercruz.com.br/I would agree with madman also I think Hyung Tae Kim would be cool ass hell. Masamune Shirow. I think that his (Ghost In The Shell) art work is beautiful. And there R a few artist who do alot of stuff for Capcom. This one artist that did the cover of (Capcom Design Works) art book, & some art 4 (Shadow Ouer Mystara), (Breath of Fire) & (Gaia Master) Then this other capcom artist who did some (Street Fighter Third strike) & (Street Fighter EX2) artwork I don't know there names but if anyone knows please let me know.

Yeah, I would love to see Joe have some books with side stories to the characters mentioned in the past, have it in a similar format as Hellboy:Wierd Tales, have different artists do different stories of different characters based on thier strengths.
Of course, that said, I have a nutsload of wishlist artists I'd like to see do stories like :takes a deep breath:
Frank Quitely (hey just check out WE3) Jason Pearson Dave Johnson Rick Mays Mike Oeming Kaare Andrews Steve Skroce Mark Brooks Ale Garza Kia Asamyia Chris Gossett (the Red Star) Bill Siekiewicz Mike Mignola Brandon Peterson Art Adams Jim Lee Eduardo Risso Ed McGuinness Giuseppe Camucoli Gabriele Dell'Otto Andrew Robinson Killian Plunkett Chris Bachalo John Romita jr. Terry Dodson (who wouldn't want to see a Red Monika story by her) Cory Walker
and a few others that I forgot to mention (if that is possible)

That said, I do think that before Joe thinks about continuing Battle Chasers regardless of if he is drawing it or someone else, that he should get the other issues back in print.
Gathering of Heroes has been out of print since he left DC back in 2001.
He should rerelease that as well as make a collected edition of 6-9. Or hell, make a larger version with all 9 issues.
Why?
If he does make a return with Battle Chasers, without previous collected editions available, it would be hard for him to attract readers outside of those who have already bought the book. This would help draw in new customers.
Hell, I think he needs to do that, to at least get his name out there.
Just my opinion.

Thats a great list Dave maybe you just put "her" by mistake, but Terry is a guy his wife Rachel inks all his stuff too, that's pretty cool. How about maybe Mike Wieringo his tellos was kinda similar to BC and it was pretty cool, so I think he could handle the fantasy in BC. As far as Roger Cruz you might want look up some stuff about him and I know those arguments are hella old, but I don't care. When you copy peoples work and everyone can clearly tell you did then I pretty much lost all respeact, even if he has moved on eventhough some images are still close to tell. I don' say that just because he swiped countless Mad! images(and other people) and that I would have to stick up for him or something it's not. I say that because I do art and if I ever got something published and someone just came along and ripped me off I would be pissed beyond belief. I'm not sure where Mad! and him stand maybe they made up, but I will never buy anything by him ever. I'm not coming down on you or anything Kousotsu, it's just I can't stand that dude.
