Yeah, he's one of mine as well. I would rank him up there with Joe Mad, Travis Charest as one of my all time favorite artists.

Yep, Travis Charest is great, too. Have you ever heard of Yoji Shinkawa? He's the artist that does like 95% of all the Metal Gear Solid stuff. He's awesome. I'm starting to get into the grittier type of artists out there. Yu, Charest, Shinkawa. They all have a gritty feel to their style. But Leinil Yu is definitely in the top three. And I was so surprised after seeing his name in the credits of ''Serenity". The movie was great and it was such a bonus to find out that he had part in the design work of it.

Dude, I LOVE Yoji Shinkawa. I sometimes just stare for tens of minutes at a time at just one of his pieces. His ability to use that brush pen is amazing. He's so versatile, the guy can draw anything. I cant wait to see what he does after MGS 4.

I bought the art of MGS 1 for 80 bucks off ebay when it first came out. What sucks is you can get it now for like 30 AND that they came out with a 1.5 version. And I still need to get his stuff on MGS 3. It's so hard to keep up, man. I can't wait either for MGS 4. It's gonna be so awesome.

The MG3 artbook is super small like 20pages maybe and half is old images only a few from 3..hopefully there will be a big one for 4. Did you get MG2 artbook it's super nice. He also did the designs for Zone of Enders and there's a big artbook for that haven't got it yet though.

I have looked through the art of ZOE 2 artbook, its pretty nice. Its not entirely Yoji Shinkawa, but its still pretty good. As for the art of MGS 3, I saw one artbook, but i dont consider a true "art of". There were screen caps and renders, and some artwork, but it was mostly stuff they released on the net.
