My favorite is #5, I think the art was perfect plus I loved the action!! Next would be #8, that monster must have taken ages to draw!

#8 for me, that issue was just awesome all the way around! (Alot darker than the first 7)

#4 was my first issue, my first time really seeing Mad's work too so that is a sentimental favorite but #7 was really too cool. Like Labsound said, it took a long time for that issue to reach stores but when it did it was just incredible. I remember buying it and reading it in the car before I got home from the shop I was so excited to see it. The Borrower is one of the coolest monsters I have seen in comics.

Issue #5! All the issues are good but I find myself looking back to issue #5 the most. I loved the sketchbook section in issue #9 though, if Battle Chasers is continued I hope to see more of that!

I would have to say #5 because of the fighting scenes. But I also liked the last issue #9 and boy it left me hooked!

Got to say issue 5 as well. It was wonderfully paced with each dealing with their own threats. The fight between garrison and 'the priest' was brilliant without the customary banter that you normally would get in a comic fight. instead it was just two wills against each other. but i do wonder why what whatever garrison did to him wasn't explained... i mean what DID he do?

My favorite has to be #0. First on I ever got me hands on and man am i happy that i did. God, the tension in that episode was papable. It wasn't the first issue i had bought so it was exiting to get even more depth on the first issue too. d**n, that said, the first issue was incredible too. I was hooked from then. The art, the pacing (which was brilliant all the way to issue #5, not to say it wasn't after it just wasn't as spot on). The fact the action never really started until near the end. garrison a useless drunk, gully with only a mysterious box...it was all genius.

Probably book no.4 (Garrison FINALLY ready for battle, I had goosebumps when I saw him cutting his hair lol!) and no.7 because wow...it was so anticipated and just unbelievably brilliant in terms of art, the story and Joe's excitement.
