Not sure if news of Mike Wieringo's passing last year made it onto these boards, but I know it was a massive hit to the comics community. I also recall Joe mentioning he dug 'Ringo's work and you could see 'Ringo admired Joe too by looking at his work, particularly on the X-men 1/2 he did where the X-men were in a fantasy style story.
Anyway, I saw something really cool that the Hero Initiative is doing in Mike's honor soon and thought some members here, and Joe himself, would appreciate it. A bunch of Mike's friends are going to be finishing the Marvel Comics Presents story he was working on before he passed away. Great roster of artists, and of course Mike Wieringo's last pages which are sure to be stunners. It promises to be a kick ass book and a great tribute.
I think the title is "What if...This Was The Fantastic Four? A Tribute to Mike Wieringo" of the book but it is due in stores this June.
I was wondering if Joe might have contributed anything to this book or done a tribute image to Mike anywhere else, anybody know?
