I was surprised to see Superman 165 on the Joe Mad! checklist of work he's done, so I decided to check it out. To me, a guy who never collects Superman, it was a great issue. With artwork not only by Joe Mad!, but also by Ed McGuinness, Humberto Ramos, Mike Wieringo, and others as well. It's a Christmas issue where Supes is giving out gifts out to his fellow JLA teammates. Madureira gets the pages where Supes and Batman are together. And, boy, can he draw a wicked Batman!! Anyway, I'm sure its no surprise to hardcore Mad! collectors, but I wanted to let some people that might not realize it what a pretty cool issue it is. If anyone else knows some hidden treasures among the Joe Mad! checklist, I (and I'm sure others) would appreciate it. Right now, I've only got the better parts of his Uncanny X-Men run and soon to get his Battle Chasers run...
