I think it was around Issue 8 of BattleChasers where his work really started to go into other dimensions of outstanding. He's always done quality work prior to that, but after that issue, everything he seemd to do was just especially fantastic, that's how i feel anyways.

I liked him best at the end of his X-Men run. Maybe it was because I like the X-Men, but his Battle Chasers style was two different ones at that. The beginning was awesome, much like the end of his X-Men run, but towards the end, it changed. He took like months between issues and his style changed during each. And at the end he started to, or at least in my opinion, round out his art if that makes any sense to you guys. I definetly saw it in his Gully drawings. I say this because to me his art was always kind of square-ish to me. Not that him rounding it out is bad or anything, but I always liked it better squared. And his recent Ultimates sketches are a mixture of both which is awesome. Again, my opinion.

I agree with you Maverick, you can definetely chart his progress and how he honed his style throughout Battle Chasers.

wow thats pretty cool concept art, I would have never thought of a look like that for iron man, so smooth and slick almost alien like, as appose to the original ridged hard looking iron man of the earlier days. I can't wait to see what he does with it. I did actually like the original iron man, but only when it was done by artist that made him more realistic looking. Adi Granov does a really amazing version of Ironman, you should check him out as well

Hey, remember the redesign he did for Iron Man in the X-Men comic? It was weird cause the look update he gave the character moved to the Avengers comic, even though it did not stick around too long. But yes, his style has evolved from a rockstar level to umm... SUPER NOVA!
