Wow. No one has even talked about this yet? Captain America is dead!!! See, I don't know what has been going on in the whole Marvel world. I only read comics if the art is good (is that weird?). So...Cap got killed. Don't know how or by whom, but what do yous guys out there think about Marvel killing off one of their most important heroes? And do you think that Cap will be back?
Comments or thoughts? Eh?

he'll be back. There is not question about it. I have never read any Captain America stuff but I don’t think that Marvel would write off one of there long time heroes. Do you?
Think of it like the old Camaro. Chevy killed it of a few years back, Stopped production on one of there longest running models. Now there in development of an all new Camaro. So why do they do this and what dose it have to do with Captain America you ask? Well it has its advantages in many areas. Chevy has the chance to start all over on the design with out having to look at the last few versions of the car, Marvel can do the same if they like but would most likely only make a few changes to there hero. Chevy can revamp the way the car is manufactured, Marvel can do likewise by putting together an all new team of artists and story writes to provide a new view on the hero. Most importantly Chevy gets the undivided attentions of the media, car enthusiasts and the general public because of there drastic actions, Marvel will benefit in much the same way with the comic world, and that is publicity you just cant bye.

Yeah, I didn't pick up the book even though I should have but if memory serves me right, I believe he was walking into a courtroom and was shot by a sniper and then there was some story about that, I'll have to look it up again. I did think it was weird but also Ed Brubaker the writer has also killed a character in almost every book he has written. I actually think it will be very interesting to see how marvel brings him back because like byrne said there will be no question that he will return.

Yeah, I feel the same thing about him returning. I just hate in comics where they kill off somebody because they never really stay dead. It makes it like a soap opera. My thought is, if you are going to kill a character, then kill them. Don't kill them for a few months or a year or whatever and then bring them back cuz that makes ever other deat to follow that one not as special. I swear, if I make a comic and I kill off a character, they will forever be dead. Now, I would maybe do what Frank Miller is doing with Sin City. Y'know, tell more stories from that character much like he is doing with Marv. Anybody know what I am talking about?
