Um, I know that these movies have been out for a couple weeks or so, but I was wondering if anyone has seen either of these two movies? And, if you haven't seen one or the other, check them out. They are freaking awesome! I have blogs on my myspace account but have decided to just post them here cuz, yeah, don't know how to link really. So, keep in mind that these are past blogs. Here goes...
Well, I saw this movie early friday afternoon and went in knowing that it was going to be a good movie. I just didn't expect it to be that good. It is one of those movies that keeps you guessing right until the very end and I am still wondering exactly about the ending. Let's just say that after you see it, you will want to re-watch it again to see if you can put together the pieces. The acting was great and I was surprised not only to find out that David Bowie makes an appearance, but so does Andy Serkis (Gollum), as well. It's a great story of how far people will go for not only revenge, but the knowledge of secrets.
Michael Caine. I started off hating him in every movie he was in, but now, I'm beginning to like him. Can't say anything bad about the two leads, Jackman and Bale. They were awesome.
The directing was really good. Christopher Nolan knows how to craft a great movie. He and his brother are one hell of a team. great screenwriting as well (the two Nolans). The movie was #1 this weekend and very well should have been. It is a great movie and you'll enjoy every second of it.
Well, Monday I saw the latest movie by Martin Scorsese and was quite impressed. Go see this movie. One: it's not short like your average 120 minute movie so it's worth your 7-8 bucks. Two: It does have some predictable parts and you know whose who from the get-go, but that doesn't stop Scorsese from throwing in things that you didn't see coming. Three: It's awesome. The directing (why hasn't this man won an oscar already?), the acting, and the music (not too much, but what it does have is good.). I don't like too many of the actors that are in the movie but they did a superb job and handled their roles very well. It is a gangster movie, but I feel that even if you're not into that genre, you'll leave the theatre happy.
