Has anyone factored in the PS3 issue into Joe Mad's Ultimate run?

Ha. What about the Wii? Two systems out in November. We'll never see anything by Mad! again. Just Kidding.
Hey, Madman!, did you have any trouble getting one? I heard there were riots and robberies ane even shootings going down all over the country. And what game(s) are you going to get when you do get one? Oh, you're gonna have to tell me if their online system matches up to Xbox live. That was the thing that was killing Playstation the most. I'm holding out until Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out, then I'll try to buy one. Have fun with your new PS3, man.

I stood in line on reserve day which wasn't to bad I was like 4th in line. When it came out though all I had to do was walk in and pick it up..no line.
I'll probably get the Wii this weekend if they have some. I was going to stand in line for it on reserve day but had to get some sleep to go to work.
For now I plan on getting one of the basketball games for the PS3. For the online stuff it seems really good but my wireless keeps kicking me off which is weird cause it works fine for the psp and the setup is like exactly the same on the PS3

Looks like that new job has its up sides, like providing you with enough money to buy, not just the PS3, but the Wii as well. Pleas tell us about the pros and cons of both the systems when you get the chance. I would like to know what you think of them. How about the Xbox 360, do you have that one as well?

Yeah I got the xbox 360 that was the first thing I bought with my first check. I haven't got the Wii just yet I will probably get that this weekend. I haven't decided yet though cause I want to save up to get a new computer. I will get zelda one way or another though..I can't wait to play that.

I'm thinking of getting a 360. I can wait for a PS3 for awhile. Not many great games are coming out for it yet. As for the 360, Gears of War has caught my eye. Not to mention Halo 3. I've just heard a rumor that Microsoft is going to buy Capcom. If that's so, that means no more Resident Evils, Street Fighters, Devil May Cry and more for the Playstation. Plus, I've also heard that Metal Gear Solid 4 will also be available to the 360. That was one of the main reasons I would buy a PS3. I've always thought that the Playstation had a better game library, but Microsoft is catching up.

It looks to me as though Microsoft has not only surpassed Sony in terms of game library but also in terms of game quality. I have always been a Sony fan. I love the PS2, I Got one way back when and I’m still playing when I have the time. I was even planning on getting my self a PS3 this year But with the delays that the PS3 went through with launch I had some time on my hands and I just couldn’t help my self. I just had to have a peek at the Dark Side (Microsoft’s 360) I know, I know, I was weak and I gave in to temptation but as previously mentioned I had no PS3 stuff to look at. So I spent a lot of time checking out all the 360 games. I have to tell you, with games like Gears of War And Halo 3 coming out I just don’t see how I will be able to hold out on buying a 360 much longer. I thought that once the PS3 got in to the ring I would be able to state fallowing all the new games that will undoubtedly come. That would give me the strength I needed to keep from joining the dark side (buying a 360), but as it turns out all the games that I have seen and even played on the PS3 are Craptastic. I know what you’re thinking and I can hear you now, give it time they will get better. Well the trouble with that is that it’s just to late. I have already had to wait to long. I think that there are many Sony fans out there like me that just don’t want to wait any longer and they find them selves walking out of the game store with 360 in hand. So for now in any case I think that Microsoft has the upper hand. At least I know they have my money headed there way.
Disclaimer: if you read this post thinking that it was intended to be read with an aggressive attitude you are wrong. Pleas return to the top of the post and re-read it keeping in mind that I am ashamed of every last word of it even if it is true.

I'm not even going to argue it's a waste of time. I say buy them all, its about the games not the machine. There will be games you can play on the Xbox and not on the PS3 and vice versa. I don't really play any nintendo games but there are a few specially Zelda, I'd buy a full machine just to play a new one..again it's about the games and ps3 will get theirs..Splinter Cell, Metal Gear, GTA 4, Final Fantasy XIII both of them, Maybe a FF7 ramake (I'd buy a PS3 just for that), Kingdom Hearts, Silent Hill, and hey who is to say Gears of War,ect won't come on to the PS3.

Your right about that madman, but my trouble is with the timing. I don’t want to wait any longer for Sony. I had to wait a year for the system already. How much longer will I have to wait for the good games? I wish that I could run out and buy both systems. That would be nice but not everyone has the ability to do that. In my case I just cant justify spending $1,000 just for the two consoles. I just don’t play that much. Anyway, I hope that everyone ends up getting the system they like. That’s they way it should be. I think it would be fun to run a pole to see how is going to buy what, PS3, 360 or Wii. I think someone should start that. It wont be me I’m feeling lazy today.

Well, if anyone has ever played Shadow of the Colossus on the PS2, y'know when a new one comes out for PS3, it'll be amazing. Metal Gear Solid 4, as stated before, might not be exclusive to Sony anymore, which was a major factor for me. And now the next Grand Theft Auto are for both systems (which that games is starting to blow. They need to step it up a notch with this next one.). I'll probably end up buying a 360, but my heart will always be with Sony. I feel like I'm cheating on my girlfriend or something.

I feel the same way Mave. I new someone would understand me. And I agree with you about shadow of the colossus. I loved that game. It was so much fun to watch. I found my self getting killed all the time by the colossus due to the fact that I was delaying my attacks so I could spend more time on the boss. I hope they do come out with another one.

Nintendo does hold a special place in my heart, but its the games, not the system ultimately.

Byrne, they have definitely confirmed that they are working on a Shadow of Colossus 2. This time you'll be able to fight the Colossi online and with at least one other person. Thats very sweet to me.
As for buying them all, well, they all look good but they all are pretty expensive, too. Besides the Wii. So, Madman! you are 100% right when you say that its more about the games than the systems anymore. so, yeah, first up for me will be the 360 and after that will be the PS3.
