Oh, man. You would, Byrne. Ha. That stuff was in an EGM magazine about three or four months ago, I think. It's been so long. It was in the rumor mill section so I really shouldn't have said that they "confirmed". But they did say that they are working on a sequel. It'll be a long ways off and probably for the PS3. The best I can tell you for news on Shadow of the Colossus 2, would be to try Google. Try typing " " around what your exactly looking for. Sorry I can't help you out more. I'll try to hunt down some info on it tonight.

Byrne, the only thing I found was forums talking about it, but that's just fanboys ranting about rumors that they've heard or what they want to see in the next game. Stuff like that. I did find things that basically stated what I mentioned before, but no new information. I just hope that we'll see some kind of news of it at next years E3. It was one of my favorite games of the last few years. That, and Metal Gear Solid 3. But then again, I don't play too many games anymore. The new Zelda looks very cool...

Definitely more of a story. It was basically find the Colossus and defeat it. The thing that kept me wanting to play was to see what the next Colossus looked liked. I think it could benefit with having more interaction with your surroundings, as well. They had this huge wide open land and all you could really do was find and fight the Colossus. It would've been cool if you could have swam under water, too. Think of all the possiblities that you could have. Underwater caverns, sea creature interaction, and more. They could add mini bosses, too. I was thinking that toward the end of the game when those guys came to stop you, that you would have to face off against them before you killed the last Colossus, but that didn't happen. I think that would've been cool, though. I can't think of anything else right now. It was a really great game for the most part. Very original. How about you, Byrne? What things would you add or change to the next game?

Well I think that, like most people, I would like to have some more content in the game. As you said all you did was spend your time on the run trying to find the next colossus. The world that they created was absolutely wonderful and beautiful to look at but having nothing to do in that world but fight the colossus meant that most of us spent our time running full speed right past all of the wonderful scenery. I think with some well thought out content and storyline this problem could be resolved. If you never tried casually strolling through the world, you should. Just hope on the hours and go for a walk. Try spending your time looking around at all the cool lighting and atmospheric affects that they put into the game; it is really worth your time. One of the ways I thought they could have given the game a little more story line is to add a few AI traveling companions. Just think of it, you could have at least on but better two people that would travel with you, interact with you and even help you with the colossus. I can see it now, In the midst of a critical battle you could shout out commends to your companions, directing them in there efforts to help you bring the colossus down. Not only that but I found that the original game was simply lonely, with only your hours to talk to. I, like you, loved the game. My biggest attraction to the game was the real sense of exploration and travel that the game offered. The physics are great and the world is so complete that you could help but feel like you where really out there on this expedition. I remember that in order to get to some of the colossus you where required to travel a considerable distance, I loved that. I liked just strolling along looking at the world in wonder. Any way I hope to see some improvements such as these in the next installment.
Just as an after thought, I thought that you could swim under the water in the game. In fact, I know that you can because I did it all the time. I can’t remember the actual key commend to do it but all you had to do was hold down a particular key and the character would take a dip breath and dive down. I remember because they did a good job with the view that you see when your character swims under water. Everything gets blurry as if you had your eyes open under water.

Hey, Byrne, did you ever get to the top of the temple? The one that they show at the end of the game where the girl walks up with the baby? You can climb it if you have enough hang time on your meter. I did and there is a "secret garden" up there. There was supposed to be a 17th Colossus up there, too. But I think it's just a rumor. I didn't find any Colossus up there nor have I seen any pictures of it on the internet. Have you heard anything about this?
As for the swimming, I remember going under the water but not being able to swim more than like 5 feet deep. Is it just me? I'm going to dust that game off soon and replay it. It's so fun.

It's kinda cool, but there really isn't much to do up there. I was stoked to hear about another Colossi but so far, it's just a rumor. It's kind of fun just trying to get up there. That huge bridge you cross at the beginning of the game, well, you can cross that whole thing. You can't go beyond it, though. If anything, it's cool just to be so high up. Remember the feeling after climbing the last Colossus? It was like that.

It's at the temple where you start after each time you kill a Colossus. Where your girlfriends's at. Anyway, go down the left flight of stairs and just follow the temple aroundabout 3/4 a way to the back. look out for some ivory you can climb up. That's the important thing. If you see ivory, climb it. I have to warn you, though, you have to have a big hang meter. I beat the game 4 times to get it high enough. You can go to Youtube.com and see tutorial videos on how to do this as well. Good Luck. I hope I helped.

Uuum, I'm too lazy to read the whole thread so I want to ask - does anyone know when will Final Fantasy XIII be released? I watched a trailer where the main character was a awesome looking girl. I mean there were some scenes focused on her face and it is the best looking girls face after Paine's. Also te game itself looked cool. ANd second will there be remake of Final Fantasy 7?

not for awhile and there's like a couple FFXIII games: FFXIII, FFXIII Agito, and FFXIII Versus. You can read about that here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_XIII...the dude in Versus looks pretty cool. and the Final Fantasy VII remake I think is still up in the air if it's going to happen..there was a trailer they made to show off the power of the PS3 that was the FFVII intro. Hopefully they will make it.
