Okay, first, I wanna state that I'll go see anything with Clive Owen in it. He is one of my favorite actors and, well, he's just awesome. Every movie I've seen him in was great. And now I can add one more to the list. "Children of Men" starts very dark and grim: it is the year 2017 (I think) and women can no longer procreate. It's the end of the world. Well, it will be in 50 or so years. Theo (Clive Owen) is a man that has lost all hope for this world. He sees no future for it and is just living the rest of his life out. That is until he finds out that there is a pregnant woman who needs his help. That sets the story into a get-the-pregnant-woman-to-safety kind of story. Anyway, that's the plot. Go see it for yourself to get the whole story. And trust me, it's a great story. Clive Owen does a superb job again with this film. His acting was great. Michael Caine. Very good. Made me laugh, and I really gotta say that I didn't like him as an actor earlier on, but he's growing on me. The rest of the cast was great, too. I gotta tip my hat to the director, Alfonso Cuaron. He is someone that I'll be keeping an eye on. Make that both eyes. His style was perfect for this movie. You might remember him from the third Harry Potter movie. I like how he surprised the audience with certain things. They weren't predictable really and were also very original ideas, I think. I don't want to say too much really cuz I want you to go into it with a clear head. Oh, the soundtrack to this movie...awesome. Great classic rock stuff with some good instrumental tunes, as well. I might actually go see this movie again. It was very well worth it the first time and will be worth it once more.
