So, I would have to say that at least 90-95% of the people on this site are comic book fans, right? Well, being as so, how many of yous out there saw this great movie? Huh? For those of you that did, what did you think of it? Or what did you not like about it?

Hey Maverick - Unfortunatley I live in England, as well as the rubbish wheather, films usually take an extra week or 2 to come out so im still in the anticipation stage. Although I did falk out for the Graphic Novel, read it straight away and liked what I saw, so I pretty much know what to expect with the film. I like how the director used the exact visuals from Millers original art - Leonadis kicking persian down the well, the persians being kicke off the cliffe - saw on the trailer.
I'll be dragging my girlfriend to see it kicking and screaming! Go on then Maverick lets have a score in % from you?was it that good?

Oh, dude. It was awesome. I gotta give props to the director, Zack Snyder. He definitely knows what he's doing behind the camera. He really did justice to Frank Miller's wonderful story. You may remember Snyder as he was the director for the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" and is now currently working on "The Watchmen" movie. And the acting, very good. No cheesy one liners or anything that would make me cringe. One of the best comic book movies that I've seen. I will probably go see it again next week. The only thing that I can say negative about it was that it kinda got all Braveheart-ish at the end. But that's my opinion. But still, it was its own movie.

I don't know about it being in comic book form. And as for an Oscar nomination...one, its a superhero movie (kinda) so the most it would ever get is like best art direction or special effects or some crap award like that. second, it came out at the beginnning of the year. most movies that come out now have barely no chance of getting nominated. The ones that are more toward the end of the year do because they are still fresh in people's minds. I hate how the Oscars work. So much crap, man. Superhero movies always get the shaft. But this movie deserves to be reckognized. It was awesome.

Maverick
Like I said earlier I went to see 300 the day it was released in the UK, and like the rest of my friends was blown away! The fight scenes came thick and fast, the cast were perfectly plucked - I think Gerratd Butlers Glasgowegian accent came through and really suited King Leonadis, the Persian King, well! they really went to town on his perverted godlike persona. A great tale, a great movie - 4 * * * * easy!!!
Grindhouse is the next big blockbuster I will be seeing on the release date.
