Who would you like to ink and color Ultimates 3? I would prefer no inkers, but if I had to pick one it would be Tim Townsend (his inks were awsome on mad's art) and Udon on the colors, they did a good job on the street fighter story.

Yeah, I'd love Tim Townsend on inks. For colors, I'd have to go with a different choice and go with Laura Martin, who is the current colorist. She's great at using colors to set a mood.

Is that who is on Ultimates 2 Dave? If there's inks then hell yeah it's got to be T-Dog(Townsend) I can still remember his username on the Official site boards all this time..hehe. One person I would throw in for colors is Howard Lyon, he did colors on Mad's WoC pic LINK and I thought he did a great job. He's different too like painted in like Tsang style, but different. I don't know how fast he is but maybe for a cover...I dunno he's different I like it.

Yeah, she's on there. Paul Mounts was the colorist on the original Ultimates. Laura Martin also colored The Authority as well as Planetary.
Another great colorist I thought would be Justin Ponsor. He colored Joe's Captain America pic in Wizard and also colors Ultimate Extinction as well.

what happened to liquid!? I thought they did a good job on the Battle Chasers colors. The only set back would be that it would look too cartoony for that book.

I'm a big fan of Joe's work but I'm also a huge fan of the Ultimates. The style of the book is very different from what Jeph and Joe's work usually do. I really, really hope the book is good, I'm sad to lose my Brian Hith fix but I'm more than willing to try the new team. As for the Ultimates 4, I don't know, I mean, I have read jeph's an ed's collabs before and they're excellent, but I don't know if they're right for this title. Still, I'm willing to give it a try out of the respect I have for this guys.

Very true. I absolutely love McGuinness' work, but it is even more of a departure than Madureira's work is from Hitch. Madureira's work has more of a grip of realism than McGuinness does. But we'll see how Mad's work will be, since I hear alot about how he's stepped up as an artist and all we've seen so far is design sketches which has no bearing really on what we'll actually see.
Coincidentally, Hitch was the artist on an arc of Uncanny X-Men right before Madureira.

Hi Everyone, i think Tim Townsend is the best around when it comes to inking specially in Mad!'s art work. I´ve seen them previously in Marvel issues and in BC, seems he is the right sidekick for the job.

I love Tim's inks, though I would love to see someone different on Joe's art. Like maybe Danny Miki on inks and Laura Martin on colors (which would be cool, since she's the colorist currently for Ultimates).

I would have to agree with almost everyone and say Tim Townsend. But as for the colorist... I like the colorist who worked on the Thundercats #3 and the Xin #1 peice in the Cover>Gallery section of this website. I don't know who he is but I'm guessing he works under Udon. I like the way he colors, almost like painting but still has a cartoony look. I think he uses the same tonal values which makes it easier to look at. And he doesn't use "bright "(I don't know if that is the correct word) colors but a more subtle color palette. And most likely you wouldn't even need to deal with an Inker if this guy was the colorist. I think Liquid is a good choice too and they probably know how to pull of this same look but this other guy could put a fresh new spin on Joe's already great artwork. By the way, does anyone know who he is and what other projects he's worked on?
