Hey guys, Sorry it has been so long. The launch of Ultimates 3 book one seemed like as good a time as any to drop by and say hello ( I've been meaning to for ages--ask Nathen! ). I really wanted to say hey, and more importantly THANK YOU for all the support. There have been some rough patches, and it's your positive comments and insane energy that put the wind back in my sails and remind me why I decided to bang out a couple more books! I also want to give a big thank you to everyone who worked on the book, but especially Chris Lichtner. This guy raises my stuff to new levels, and he often goes unsung. Plus, he was banging this book out while raising newborn twins. CRAZY! Send some praise his way! I try not to hang out on forums too much, but I'll make an effort to stop by once in a while. Maybe hit Nate with a couple of exclusives  Again, thanks. Hope you guys enjoy the first issue. It was a blast. -Joe |

How cool is that? I know you rarely get on the forums much, but it is an honor. Joe, we are the ones thanking you. Your artwork is crazy and is ever so inspiring! Just seeing new work from you gets me pumped and wanting to draw (which I need to!). Issue #1 is amazing and can't wait to see more. Great to have you back, Joe!

Hey Joe! Nice to see you on here. I remember all the interactions with you on the old site that Steven and Karl ran back around 2001. That was fun.
I just want to say that I absolutely dug the book and it's great to see you back in comics. I'd love to see more, but I am ecstatic with what I'm getting.
One quick question if you feel like answering. Do you have any plans to rerelease the old Battle Chasers material? Just curious since the old hc/tpb is long out of print and there are alot of people who when Ultimates 3 was announced, they didn't know who you were because they came to comics later on. It'd be cool if you would rerelease it through Marvel's Icon imprint, especially if it was printed in that very kick@$$ oversized HC format that Marvel likes to do.

So I just got home from working 17 hours and am just about to go to bed and what the Hell!! Joe Mad! is posting on the message boards...sweet!
I haven't got my copies yet I ordered them Wizard site still waiting. I'm trying to get my brother to pick me up some copies and have them here to day... keeps fingers crossed. I bought the variant white cover Joe..nuts.
and yes I agree send me the Exclusives!
Okay I will post more after I sleep.. okay brain off.

I just want to say it's cool to see Joe taking the time out to post on this forum. I know there is some bad blood between Joe and myself over the whole joemadureira.com thing and what not, but it's in the past and I've moved on.
I haven't bought a comic since 2004, but Ultimates 3 looks like something I have to check out, I mean it's Joe drawing comics again, and Joe's issue of Uncanny X-Men #325 was the reason I wanted to draw in the first place.
Anyway it's good to see you back Joe, I hope you stick around.
