This is good news, but Marvel always sells out. I think it's just a marketing thing. But still good news nonetheless.

Looks like the second printing of #1 is out next week. Here's hoping the colors are brighter. Anybody heard anything on that subject?

I picked up the second printing today. It looks like someone turned the lights on in this book! Everything is clearly brighter, it's a whole different experience from the first printing. I hope this print quality is the standard for the remaining issues.

Yeah, tom. I just picked up a second printing and it's SOOOOOOOO much better. I think Marvel realized the first printing was way too dark. It's funny, I went just to check out what came out this week and they still had a bunch of Ultimates Vol. 3 issue 1 first printings left. But, those of you who were disappointed about the first printing, pick up the new printing cuz it is really great. Brings more life to Mad!'s work. One more week till issue 2! Oh, I found this on ebay. Its Ultimates related....  It's done by comic book inker Richard Friend. It is not the original by Mad! It is a printing of the original that Friend inked. |
