Check this out, it's from an RPG book called Dungeons and Dragons: Races of Eberron.  It looks different than the Mad! art we're used to so I'm thinking maybe the 'Lyon' name is for artist Howard Lyon who works for Realm Interactive and Joe just came up with the character concept or did the colours or something. What do you think? *edit: You know what... the more I look at it, the more I think it is Joe Mad!'s art. I'll have to check out this book and see if there is more of his work in it. |

I got that email to and made an update did you see it? I talked to the Howard Lyon guy as I was posting on CA.org and he confirmed it was by Joe Mad! he said he will send me a large scan when it's released. He thinks it might already be out already, so maybe he will send it today or this week. I was talking to him and he also said he did some coloring on the Exarch pic..a couple guys did on that poster it seems, thought that was pretty cool. There is lots of cool artists I like taht have pics in there, I normally wouldn't buy something like that but I'm getting this for sure.
anyways Yes! it's confirmed Mad did the pic.

Awesome, good job of PM-ing Howard, I would have never thought of that lol. I can't wait to see the pencils if you can get them!

I just got back from my shop the book is out and I got it. I will PM Howard right now and see if he can send me a large scan of the colors..maybe he has already so I'll probably update again in a few with more info.

Holy! Those are some sweet sweet pencils. The detail is incredible. Would you like me to link to the image on your site for people to see it or just, obviously, credit you on my page on show it on my page as well?

Holy Crap! That is awesome! Joe's really been putting out some awesome stuff, well, as always. I really like the painted look that alot of his more recent art has had. I mean the pencils are just as beautiful as the finished art, of course. Great Stuff! Thanks for sharing guys.
