Thanks for the update Dave...the dates they are pushing them back to aren't too bad I can deal with september. Very true. Though I don't know if it was that Joe got behind, or if it's "The Ultimates curse", where no matter what, Ultimates will run late. Like what happened with Ultimates 2 #13, where everyone was blaming Bryan Hitch, saying that it was running late and all that, but he showed people all the pages at a convention months before it got released, it was that his inker and colorist ran behind, because of other projects.

Push back is a bit of a bummer, but no big deal and not totally unexpected. I was psyched when I saw an add for issue 5 in one of my books last week. The add said August...ah well, it will be awesome no matter when it is released.

Sigh. What a surprise. I feel like canceling my order for this book just so Marvel won't get any money from this. I order two copies each time and really don't feel like my money should go toward anything they produce. It is really unprofessional and I'm just tired of it. I love Mad!'s artwork and will follow anything that he does, but still, as a fan, feel I deserve a reason for the delay. I know things don't always go as planned but c'mon now, this is getting ridiculous.
And yes, I know. It's just a book. And when it comes out it'll be awesome. I don't really buy comics anymore and this is one that I was all gung-ho about. And it's been plagued by delays and then more delays but no reasoning why. Someone should stand-up and accept responsibility and just give the reasoning. Whatever. This is stupid. My venting won't do anything and it won't matter.
I just wish that it would matter to everyone else. Everybody just accepts it and says "oh, well." "it'll be awesome whenever it does show up."
But doesn't anyone care? Doesn't it upset anyone? Does anyone feel like they're being taken advantage of? I mean, Marvel knows we'll still buy the book no matter how long it gets delayed, but do they really care that we faithfully stick by a book that gets delayed?

I do understand your frustration but like you said, it won't change the outcome. Venting will not change it one bit. I was told before the first issue even came out that all the issues were done but that wasen't the case. The sad thing is alot of people that stop collecting books came back cause of Joe and now they're saying the same thing you are. Personally, I don't mind it being late and I know it will be a awsome book (art wise) when it's out. As long as I get the book that's all that really matters to me. There's alot more books to read and alot of videogames to play to pass the time .

Who cares if it's late at least we are getting some Joe Mad art. Plus he is insanely busy with Darksiders so I usually grab something else off the shelves while I wait for Joe's stuff.

Last thing I heard that it's the 24th. Which is the same day as Hulk as well as the week Heroes season 3 premieres. Jeph mentioned that on the Bendis board, because there's a Q&A thread for an upcoming Jeph Loeb podcast (which they usually do after a Bendis one, since there's always a little good nature nuts that gets tossed between Bendis and Loeb at each other) and Loeb said that the Podcast would wait until the 24th, since all those things he's involved with come out about then.
Speaking of the Ultimates, I guess the creator of the Ultimates, Mark Millar is going to return to them again, with a new book called "Ultimate Avengers", which he described as the equivilant of an event book every story arc. Don't know who the artists are yet though.

Thanks for the info, Dave, I hope that date is solid. I figured the date would keep changing, especially when Joe mentioned just a few weeks ago that he was still working on pages. I am so pumped to see Joe's vision of the Hulk in action!

You know, its much easier to forgive a delay if only a reason is given (a real reason) for it. It is unfair to be simply ignored and left to wait in the dark as it shows a certain lack of respect. It's even worse when someone is a serial offender. I don't know if it has anything to do with Mad himself but his titles do seem to have a tendancy to be late. Just hope it comes out before the new year.
And millar's return has me all excited. If only it were possible for artists to churn out several high quality titles at once like writers do. but it ain't.
