Joe Madureira's new project confirmed...

Over at Wizard's website www.wizarduniverse.com , they had an article about what to expect in the newest issue of Wizard and it had this blurb;

"JEPH LOEB MOVES TO MARVEL
The DC writer heads to the House of Ideas to do Ultimates with Joe Madureira! PLUS: Exclusive first look at Joe Mad’s new art!"

Which means that Loeb and Madureira is the new creative team of the Ultimates.

Which is cool as hell. I can see some insane action going on in that book.

I can't wait to see more preview artwork.

I should have the preview art up on my blog when the book comes out (tomorrow, Aug. 31) meanwhile I just discovered this one & and I couldnt be more excited! I've never picked up an Ultimates issue yet, but I'll try to complete his and Jeph Loeb's run when they start in 2006

I'm a big fan of Joe Mad, but I think that Mad! on Ultimates is a ballsy move. The art transition is so diffrent , I'm affraid people won't even give it a chance. The boards at Newsarama.com as so many negative feedback already about this news. I'm picking it up regardless, I've waited way to long for Mad! to be back in comics.

I got more news than just the Ultimates so watch for that tomorrow and for the pics from Wizard of course..and I will probably be changing the front page around..hopefully.

I think Mad! if he does a lot of books will make an easy comeback to being in the top artist spot..newsarama(the people that post, the site's cool) can suck it, they talked trash before Jim Lee made a full run on Batman and now they're licking his sack like they loved him the whole time..same with about every book that's about to come out, they attack it and then if it does well price wise then they all of sudden love whatever it is. Artists don't all of sudden become bad because they don't have a book out monthly..Jim draws better than he did a long time ago, so does Mad! and so does Campbell...like all of sudden Mad's gonna draw stick figures or something because he forgot how to draw

Oh I know. I also hate how they are going on and on and on about how Joe's work is a total mismatch for the Ultimates. Which I am like how is it a mismatch? The Ultimates is a Superhero book, Joe is best known for drawing Superheroes.

Some people need to settle down, I think.

You know i tire of that "Mad! sucks" bs, go somewhere. WE ALL KNOW d**n WELL ITS GONNA BE HARD AS HELL GRABBING THAT BOOK lol! Watch how sales determine whos the freakin BEST in the biz!. Well Mad! told me about the Vigil games a couple days ago and I was gonna put that up with the new news, but Wizard basicly covers everything..there really was only the mention of the company and the link he gave me which nothing is there. He told me what kinda game that it will be, which will be on the new update with the site design, but that was about it. I'm about half way finished so like probably midnight tonight I will be done...it's just something simple..I'm liking it though.

I'm using CSS on the new front page now which seems to make things easier but this is really my first try using it, so it might turn out crap.

Mad said he would be writing me back(he said after the mag comes out) so maybe today or something. I asked if he could send a color version of the first Captain pic cause of the pic being in the butt crack of the magazing and maybe the pencils..so hopefully he will be writing back here in a sec or at least in a couple days I would say.

You know Madman i heard that CSS is an easier layout to mess with, im no pc/web design genius or anything but i have heard it from many good web designers:). Thanks for keeping this site up man and for keeping up with Mad! to give us news. You do such an awesome job holding up this site among your own life lol. Keep it up man and im here to help with anything;).

cool cool, I'm happy with joe on ultimates. I've read Ultimates and the first half of 2, and I think joe will do an awesome job with it! It always seems like I'm the last poster in these topics >_<, I should check the site more often.

I am so happy, the site is back, joe MAD is working in the ultimates and a video game, and I love the new stile of MAD who is much more into manga, I think is great, I think is cooler. And
I always wanted JOEMAD version of Captain America.

when i heard word that mad is coming back - i was really excited and yeah definitely happy to see him come back to comics. soo is he working on the ultimates? or single titles for cap, black widow, hulk?
