I was wondering if he'd contribute to this book. Awesome. It's sad what happened and you can tell by how fast this is coming out and by how many people that are contributing to this book that Mike was an awesome guy. He will be missed.

I picked up the book today. Joe's contribution is ver ycool. So many super-talentd people contributed to this book, it is well worth owning, not to mention proceeds go to a great cause.
Mike was obviously a very special person to have such a great group of friends.

The whole book is really, really touching and it is definitely worth the 9 bucks you'll spend on it. Everyone should go pick this book up and join in on celebrating the life of one of the greats of comic books, well, art in general.

can someone post the image that joe drew? That's actually the only Mad! piece that I hope no one puts up. I think anyone that wants to see it should pick it up. The proceeds go to a good cause, it's totally worth it.

Im agree, whit LabSOUND I think everyone who can pic the issue must doit is for a great cause, but I also think there's some Mad fans who can't (like me) cause that kind of comics don't come to this part of the world... and order by internet is not an option cause is not possible, so if some one can post the image I'll be glad whit all my heart thanks'

Hi Madman! and Biroons and all, I agree with LabSOUND that everyone should get a copy but I understand Biroons concerns, that not everyone may be able to. I must say that when i grabbed my copy of the Micheal Turner Tribute, I rushed straight to the pic done by Mad! and it is awesome! If I may just give a little desription, it's got Gully holding Magic and Malikai ( a creation of Micheal Turner) is talking to her, assuring her that the magic will not be extinguished, as long as we tell stories. It really did touch me, just as Mad! art always does. But then I took the chance to look through the awesome contribution done by all the other artists and I found it breathtaking! All the different styles and techniques and variations amazed me. They all touch the heart, especially the letters that the other artists wrote. I never met Micheal Turner before, or even followed his comic line, but when I saw just how much these people cared about him, I also felt he was my friend in a way. He contributed greatly to the comic industry. He even began drawing at a young age, just like Mad!. I also liked the picture by Agnes Garbowska and all the others. It really is sad when we lose a special person and I send my condolensces to his family and friends. After reading most of the letters written in by the other awesome artists, I went to bed and to my amazement, I had a dream of Micheal Turner making those around him happy. That was very special to me. Most of all, that book inspired me to draw more and expand my horizon. May he rest in peace. Mike, we all love you

I completely agree. Though I think when Mike Wieringo died, it hit me harder. I think because Mike's work on books like Fantastic Four had a feel, a sense of fun that had been increasingly missing in comics today. And when he died of a sudden heart attack just over a year ago, it felt like a bit of that sense of fun in comics died. I loved the tribute they did earlier this year, when artists like Art Adams, Skottie Young, Humberto Ramos, and others finished the What if? story he was drawing when he died midway in the issue. Hell, a year later, I still love looking at his blog at www.mikewieringo.com or his deviant art site and looking at his sketches that he'd post every day. So much fun.

Thank you Davecummings, for posting the address to Mike Wieringos site. I remember I used to own a copy of Tellos a long time ago, before I gave away all my comics, so I've been rebuilding my collection recently. I always did like 'Ringos art, it had a style of its own. I remember when his characters were battling those shadows and those frogs. It was awesome stuff. May he rest in peace too, but his art work will live on, in our hearts, same as Mike Turners. These events remind me that life is short, and we could go at any time, for any reason. But what's important is what we do with the time we have left (to quote Gandalf hehe ) Art is awesome coz as they say, a picture says a 1000 words. That is so true.

Hi keitaro021781, I agree, someone should put a scan of Mad!s pic on this site, for those who can't get a copy of the book, like yourself. I think Madman! agrees. I hope LabSOUND understands this...

I've already scan it and sent it to Nathan. If Nathan wants to put it up it's up to him, it's his site but I hope he dosen't. I wouldn't put it up for a couple of months but that's me. I know some guys here can't get a copy, I understand that and that sucks but you guys have to see it from the other end. Everyone that knows me here knows that i've put up Mad! art all the time but this one is different. It's really up to Joe, Nathan or anyone that got the book to post it but I'm not going to.
