I finished it last night and with all the weapons, the combat got insanely MAD ! I only wish you could keep all the upgrades on the second run through. It kinda left me wanting more but they clearly ended it for a sequel to happen and that' s good.
The game requires grinding for souls because I couldn't buy everything. I finished with only one wrath power on Level 4 (12500 souls !!!) and no move set for the gauntlet. I think It's impossible to get everything in the same run. Maybe there is a code for unlocking it all.

Though I am a huge God of War fan, and am eagerly awaiting GOW 3, I have to say, Darksiders is incredibly satisfying! The control system is great! Combat is smooth and environment exploration is super flexible. This game ranks in the top ten in how the Unreal engine 3 can be used to create awesome eye candy. Joe Mad's design and art direction is spot on. Marvel and DC comics should study this game. It's a great example of how to make a story and characters transition from concept to drawing board to game engine to game players. Kudos to Joe and the folks at Vigil games. I will definitely be playing this game many times over and getting my "man" on! Watch-out Kratos, there's a new "bad ass" in town.
