Those of you who played Darksiders know Abaddon is just a merely puppet of some higher complot which leaves us all with the same question: who is the true person that rules Hell? The comic and game tells us of a creature named the Dark One or Dark Prince and Samael is next in line to inherit his throne. War also claims that his time is nearly at it's end. I was wondering what the Dark Prince might look like and if we could see him in a sequel?
I have this theory about an old piece of art which shows War facing a huge demon coming out of a whole. The demon looks very aged and has craters all over it's body, a misformed eye and broken horns. The demon also appeared in a Developer Diary interview about a four Horsemen which shows gamefootage of War facing the same demon. Now this demon was ment to appear in the game but for some reason it didn't made it to the final. Could this demon be an old concept of the Destroyer or might this be the Dark Prince himself??
