Does anyone know if Joe Mad attended E3 this year? I think I read somewere that he was going to attend to show off his new game.

this is what he wrote to me..
"Honestly, I'm not sure how much I am allowed to say about Dungeon Runners until it ships. I will not be touting this game at E3 as it is an NCSoft title, and I am no longer with NCSoft, but of course I will stop by and check it out. I'll be cheering from the sidelines!"
Sounds like he was there but was just walking around and not at the booths.

hehe. actually, i ran into Joe at E3 this year! I was just standing around with a couple of buddies of mine waiting to grab the next open spot for Lost Planet, and about 5 minutes later, guess who wanders up right next to me and starts to watch the people playing... JOE MAD! He conspicuously had his name badge flipped rightside-down, as to keep his identity hidden. But this fan knew better. So anyways, I start to lightly converse with him because obviously, he didn't want fans to be bothering him with the badge flipping and all, but I couldn't help it. Started to chit chat a bit about Lost Planet and how cool it looked, and then I said "You're Joe Mad, huh?" LOL. He started to act like he was freaked out and he was checking his name tag to make sure it wasn't flipped, like how'd you know?! So anyways, I started to talk to him and asked him just a few questions. He stated that he wasn't with NCSoft anymore and that he was working on a new game with a new company. I asked what the game was gonna be like, and he said he couldn't reveal too much information, but he's been totally stoked about it and told me to imagine God of War type brutality with insanely huge and crazy melee weapons. It's gotta kick ass, right!? So anyways, I had to bring up the question about Battle Chasers and what he was planning to do with it. He said that he is so busy and so many things are lined up, he doesn't have time to even think about it, but he does want to finish it badly. He said he was wrapping up The Ultimates and that he was very happy about it. We chatted for a bit more and he said he wanted to go check out Gears of War. I wanted to tag along to ask more questions and be his little pregnant dog, but I thought twice and wanted to let him have a good time at E3. He patted me on the back, smiled and ran off towards Gears of War. So yeah, I was really stoked. I didn't hear anything about him attending this year or not before I went. I even asked my sister's BF who is the Lead Art Director at Cryptic Studios for City of Heroes whether or not he could find out for me, because City of Heroes/Villains is published by NCSoft. But obviously, because of his split with the company, they didn't know diddly squat. But that was so crazy for him to walk practically right into me. I was totally happy after that. LOL. I saw Joe at a previous E3 and got all of my Battle Chasers books signed and got to chat with him a bit. Really awesome guy and d**n glad that he pursued the career he did because he has been such an inspiration to me. I love his art work. In the words of Napoleon Dynamite, "FRIGGIN SWEET!"

Hey that's awesome I'm jealous congrats on meeting him and sharing it with us.
The comment about Ultimates is kinda interesting/scary, because if he's wrapping it up that must mean he isn't doing 12 issues or he started a hella long time before it was announced.
My friend Torsor went to E3 I think it's been 2 years now, he said there was a girl there that got her books signed and also got a sketch of a monster/creature from him..was that you? If so can you take a picture of it? I always wanted to know what it looked like.

That would have been great. I can’t say I'm much of a groupie but it would have been fun to talk to Joe.
