I also paint and draw with music, but there are times where just silence also helps. I seem to have noticed that most people need to start somewhere when sitting down to work. A music that they like is usually the best thing. But the selection of the music also depends on the mood or atitude at the time. Listening a new music when doing this never works out, it must be always something the ears are familiar with. I think that rythm is key, thats why speedy music helps when we are on a good vibe and a more relaxed sound is normally chosed to counter. This is my opinion offcourse. A small note: Programmers tend to keep the headphones on without any music when things get tricky

You know Pina that is all so very try. I just realized that I had been doing the same thing. When I am drawing the music that I listen to is always music that I am very familiar with and in most cases have been listing to for hears. Never noticed that before.
