I feel that sometimes the evaluation of art work we find being dished out on art forums, such as this one can be a little over critical. I find people having there art work verbally ripped apart by someone who has good intentions but no sagacity. I am happy to say that in the little time I have been posting here at the Madfan forum I haven’t seen this happen. I would hope that every member of this forum would make an extended effort to help build the confidents of the artiest that privilege us with there hard work by offering constructive analysis. Let’s not forget that it is more important to offer praise and complement to a developing artiest then it is to offer criticism. If we build up the artists confidents the artiest will be more motivated to thrive thus inspiring a desire to improve, This almost always results in a better artiest. They have been informed of the areas that they might improve on, so they know what to study and they have been complemented on what they do well, so they have a feeling of achievement. I have been teaching art for the better part of 8 years and I have found this to be true. Please keep these things in mind when you comment on an artiest work for you are commenting on there hart and sole in many cases. Just remember, a suggestion should always be followed with a kind word or two.
