Just got back from Big Apple Con 2010. Wow, that convention was weak. Tickets were super expensive and the show offered little to nothing cool. Washed up celebs and a few vendors. Weak!!
Meeting Joe was the highlight. Joe was really nice and had some cool prints for sale. He had the Battle Chasers Hardcover image, Vampirella un-edited pencils and the Red Monika print.
I asked Joe about his secret Marvel project. He did not provide any details only that it's big and we'll have a lot of new Joe Mad comics in our grubby little hands when all is said and done.
Anyway, yeah, the show stunk but meeting Joe was cool. Hopefully Joe does NYCC next year, he deserves way better than this crap.

I went too, I agree that meeting him was the highlight. I wish they would put more effort into this convention, most of the guests were stars from the 60s, 70s, or obscure TV show/movies. I really felt bad for some of them when they had no one visiting their table. Other than Joe, I guess the other big stars felt this wasn't a significant venue for them to attend.

They'll probably announce Joe's project next weekend during the NYCC. Wizard's no longer the big show and the NYCC that is the weekend afterwards will have all the Marvel higher ups and they're making announcements there.

I hope you're right, Dave. I am totally pumped to hear what this project is!
I'll be attending NYCC as well. I am confident the experience will blow the one I had this past weekend completely out of the water.

My only prayer is, whatever it'll be that Joe will be working on, will be offered also as a b&w/pencilled version lol!
