Newbie Alert!!

Hello Everyone. Im new to the boards, an aspiring artist, and a BIG Joe Mad Fan. I dont like saying that Cause I feel like every artist likes Joe mad, but I can't deny it ;D . He was the first artist to ever inspir me.

I lOVED BC, Yet again who here hasn't . Sad to have seen it stop though, Although im not gonna Rant I know how much you hate it. Its his art, his passion, he can do what ever he wants with it, I'll still follow him regardless. and hey... if Jason Pearson can come out with new body bags after 10 years who says Joe can't do the same with BC, But ill just leave that as a Dream I hope to come true.

Although 2 things Ive been wondering and wanted to ask and now I finally have a place to ask.

1. What is it exactly that Joe mad is up to today. Is he Still in the gaming bussiness, or is he doing comics again. or both!!

2. is kinda silly but here it goes. I bought the Batlle Chasers : A gathering of hereos collection of issues 1-5, and inside was a little autobiogrophy by Joe. and in it he stated he got his first job with marvel x-men (I believe, correct me if im wrong) at age 16!!! which is amazing. I wish I was that Talented. Regardless I was wondering what issue it was and if there was a way anyone could show me the art he did in it. I like seeing how artist get better over the years, and would love to see some of his earlier stuff.

Well im done Rambling on Expect to hear more from me later on, And as I said I am an artist about to go to art school and I may post some works, Although im not to great with the hole computer/art thing, (currently practicing with photoshop for colors.) I can never seem to scan and get my pictures looking as good as they do on paper . and granted im not as great as alot fo you guys here but im fairly confident in my skills, and if i muster up enough Courage , Ill post some of my stuff.

Welcome to the forum Xherox! And just so you know there are no newbie’s around here, At least not with me. I like to think of every one as an old friend starting with there first post. So come on in and make your self comfortable. So you are going to start art school soon? That’s great, it will do you nothing but good and I wish you luck. You will have to post some of your work, I would love to see it. There is nothing to fear from the members that post here. I have yet to see anyone get offended by the comments that are made in regards to a piece of art. In any case it’s good to have you aboard.

By the way, I did a little looking around and I come up with some info that might help you out.

It was 1991 when Marvel hired Mad! He was born in December of 1974 so that would make him 16 at the time he was hired. His first published work was an eight-page story for the anthology series Marvel Comics Presents #92, with Northstar. As for what Joe is doing now, Comics and Video games. He is currently working on ultimates 3 and as far as the video game thing is going jump over to the vigil website.

And I went to the Vigil Games website and saw Joes name, But apparently they have no anounced works yet

Although I think somewhere on this site I saw a preview of a game Joe mad was already working on. Wether thats old news or not is beyond me. Ill have to find it again.
