maverick1104, are you refering to Image's website or Amazon?
Any word on this anyone? I really hope the book is dropping before the end of this month. Waiting until summer would be rough.

I'm a huge Joe Mad and Battlechasers fan, and when I first heard about the Battlechasers Anthology, I was pumped beyond belief.
Originally, it was solicited for November 2010, and has had it's release date re-solicited 3-4 times since then. And now it's scheduled for release for July 2011, but how long does it take to print up already published material? Even my own comic book store is laughing at me, for holding out hope that this book will ship.
If, anybody could give me an explanation for these continuous delays in seeing Battlechasers Anthology, it might make things easier. I'm sure, I'm not the only one frustrated by these events.

I'm not sure what the official release date is for this anthology, but I preordered it last year, and I just got a notification from Amazon that it's been pushed back to July now... I don't know if that's just Amazon, or if it's based on the release of the book, but... wow. Somehow he still manages to epic fail on release dates even on a collection of works that are years old... This is worse than waiting for the serial editions! I remember the comic store laughing at me every time I would go ask if they knew when the next issue would be out.. I guess it was supposed to be out this coming up June. However, according to Diamond's (comic books' primary distributor) shipping updates, the release date has been changed. This time for the better. According to the update, it'll be out April 13th, same as image's website at the moment.

CONFIRMED
Battle Chasers Anthology will be in stores April 13th.
d**n, it's going to be a very expensive week that week. The very massive Walter Simonson Thor Omnibus (well over 1100 pages) is out that week as well for $125.

I have this sitting on my desk right now. Very beautiful. A ton of design sketches as well as several pages from the unfinished #10. It's expensive, but well worth it. And the poster that comes with it is awesome as well.

I'd preordered mine from Amazon (.ca) and it came today. Amazon is usually super fast with products that are in stock (within 3 days always), but next day was really impressive This is a beauty. It comes in a thick, hard gorgeous slipcase. The whole package was shrink-wrapped, and then inside the slipcase was the hardcover book with dust jacket that was also shrink-wrapped. I'm so happy that they kept the cover art minimal. The slipcase cover (this picture: www.comicbookresources.com/?page=preview&id=8320) has just the title and nothing, like, "CLIFFHANGER!" or whatever all over. It's nice. The dust jacket to the actual book is the cover to.. issue one, if I remember? The 2-page one. There is absolutely nothing on it but the coloured image. Nice! The pages from issue 10 are def the higlight! There are 4 inked pages followed by a penciled 2-page splash. The cover is also just inked and it's the picture we've seen before of Monkia sitting in a pile of treasure. Otherwise, there are a few sketches I hadn't seen. I have all of the original issues, the prelude, the Frank Frazetta, and whatever else, so none of that was new to me. The book is oversized on good quality glossy stock. The inside cover (not sure what to call it) is just black, but the paper quality is really nice, if you care about that.. it's got some nice texture -- kinda fancy. The cover price is $100, but I think it got mine for $60-something Canadian.. Not too bad. It's great to finally be able to hold this in its entirety for a good read.

Oh yeah, the poster is also a coloured pinup I hadn't seen before. It looks more manga-y than the actual style in the book. It's kinda small like the freebee posters you get in Wizard, but cool nonetheless!

Here's a couple of the pages from issue 10 in the Anthology that we've haven't seen before The other pages from 10 we've seen before, like the pencilled page that has been up for years as well as the inked pages of what looks like Knowlan in a cave.
