I've found and studied many books, on anatomy and pencilling, but I've not discovered too many books on inking. Anybody have any suggestions for a good read on inking?

Dc comics has a collection called "The Dc comics guide to ... comics" and one of them is about inking. The one about penciling and the one about inking are done by Klaus Janson.
There's also 2 volumes of "The art of comic book inking" by Gary Martin from Dark Horse.
