waddup everybody, I've been drawing for many many years now (since childhood) and sometimes when I draw more complex poses my porportions can be a little off. I purchased one of those dolls to maybe help me only to find out the hard way that they aren't very poseable. I'm starting to use some action figures as suggested on another page, but I was wondering if there was more of an official art doll thats more poseable? Or would just continuing with action figures & practice my only option? thanks!! p.s. Some of my work will be up soon!! -Paul

I have a few of those dolls, and your right if you want to do any dynamic posing they really don't work. I personally use those super poseable spiderman and daredevil action figures. I also bought a book called People and poses, you can find it here. search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9781581807585&itm=1Its pretty helpful has a ton of poses and a cd-rom of even more poses has like 5 or 6 different models of different ethnicities so it covers most of all the bases. Hope that helps

You can also get your hands on software that has a very cool looking 3D model that you can pose any way you want and then even change the camera angels and such. I recommend you take a look at this stuff.
