It looks like you spent a bunch of time on these drawings. I would like to give you my opinion of your work. Perhaps it could help you out. This is just my thoughts on what I see here in your two works.
To start, great job on your effort in drawing these images. No one ever learned anything by not trying. You have a great ability that in time I think will be invaluable to you. There is something however about your work that I have to bring up. Human anatomy, if you don’t know the basics of the human body then you simply cannot produce life like characters. With out the knowledge of the fundamental human structure you cannot be expected to draw a believable human. You simply have to know the basics. You have to know how long the legs should be in relationship to the torso and how big the torso should be in relation to the head and so on. With out this knowledge you will struggle. Don’t get me wrong. I like your work. Anatomy aside you have created two very classic looking characters and placed them in interesting poses. I especially like the sword you drew and the way the ground is flying from its tip, shattering in to bits. But I recommend that you take the time to study the work of Andrew Loomis, Jack Hamms and others that have written books on the subject of human anatomy. I guaranty that your work will improve 100 fold if you do.

I would, but they are all on huge sheets of newsprint, and they don't have alot of effort. Maybe I'll try to get a few sections in.

You say you’re going for a major in art? What line of work are you hoping to apply your art skills to?

Graphic design. Most of my stuff I can't put up because I don't have the files, or they are for programs I don't have. I have a few things I did on my own here: livetoski.deviantart.com/

Those are some very interesting name tags you got there. Photoshop right? Did you color your character in Photoshop as well? Any way nice work. You need to post some of your graphics to the board see what people think.

Well I would, but felt this board was more for comic stuff. Right now I am coloring something using gradients, the one on my page is using the smudge tool.

I never got into coloring my work, which is a shame some of the stuff I see people doing is just amazing. One of these days I will give it a try. By then you will be able to give me a few pointers on the subject I’m sure. Well when you finish coloring your current work post it. I’m always interested in seeing how people improve over time. I have been working in Graphic art for years and I just love to stuff.
