No need to wish. With a little practice I think that you’re well on your way to surpassing the quality of even that image.

Kaos, I went back to the portfolio on your web site and had another look at all your art work. I have to tell you that your character work is good. It looks to me that you have put a lot of time and practice into achieving the skill that you have, I think that you can do better. Please don’t mistake me for putting down your work, which is not the intent. I think that your work is very well done. What I would like to do is offer you some advice. First, however let me ask you a question or two. Have you ever studied human anatomy? If so, to what extent have you taken your study?

Human Anatomy Is something i tend to struggle with. My bro has told me i need to work on it. i admit i do need to work on it. just wanna thank you for your comments. the characters that you see (dude with gun, medi-evil guys and dude holding chick) are brothers. its a story im writing and turning into a comic about vampires. set in the past then moving on into future. ill post the first couple pages when they're done and hopefully you guys will like it . And ill try send more pics. hopefully with better anatomy :-) glad you like my stuff.

Sounds great, I thought that you would know what I was talking about. I know that sometimes it’s a little hard to go back to the basics and start drawing images of people just standing around doing nothing, boring and tedious comes to mind, but if you were to spend a good 50 hours of anatomy study (drawing real life nudes) you would have a great skill. Something I tell my students is that if you aren’t willing to learn the basics then you might as well not even try. You have a good base to start from you just need a little help with proportion and anatomy and you will be set. Try picking up a few books on anatomy or go to a website that offers images of posed models and Try to draw them quickly with out regard to aesthetics. Focus instead on the memorization of muscular structure and proportion of the people you draw. I find that this exercise, if done with repetition in conjunction with a large number of uniquely posed models will greatly improve ones ability to create more life like character design. After you have the basics down then you can start to over exaggerate the human body structure to give your images the characteristic comic look we all love. In any case good look with your work. I hope to see the comic pages of yours posted soon, I would love to see them. I’m sure they will be excellent.

Well I hope that my comments are useful to you. To answer your questions, I was born in America. I have been teaching graphic art for years. I started using my art on a professionally level about eight years ago and I started teaching about 6 years ago. I have had a few friends over the years that where from South Africa. It seams that there are several people on this forum alone that live there. Have you ever been to the states?
