The things fan go through just to catch a glimpse of Mad's work...
I didn't know what to expect, what with all the hype going on about the new Street Fighter Comic.
The news said that Mad would be doing interiors on the comic... I was so hyped up about it! I finally managed to get my copy of it for 10 bucks (what an insanely inflated price), and open it...
Only to find 4 + 1 (cover) pages of Mad's work! I mean, it's great and all... but why isn't there more? <Sniff> It just isn't enough... (I had thought that Mad was doing the whole comic, initially...)
By the way, I especially like his signature on the interiors!

Im just wondering why on Earth you payed $10 for it? I mean its only just come out so it shouldent be priced that high already!
Yeah a lot of people misread or misinterpreted MAD!' involvement with the project, people were thinking he was going to be doing the whole book but he only did two covers and the four page back story.
Its a shame but hopefully hell do some more for the project. If i hear anything ill post about it.

he probably means #0 pencil cover and #1 cover. There is kinda 3 cause the Regular #0 and then the Black Foil #0 and #1. I aslo got the promo poster with Mad's cover it's tight.

the pages are pretty sweet and are the best, but I would love if Mad get invited again when RYU fight whit AKUMA that woud be a deamm good fight just like this one

I fixed the images now so they open into their own windows.
I would love to see Mad! do the whole Street Fighter gang. Akuma would be awesome and there a lot of others too I'd like to see him do dhalsim or blanka again like the cover with all the characters see him do something like that.

like the joemadfan.com update says he will probably do another backup story soon and i'm hoping the cancellation of a second game-thing he might get comfy enough to maybe do a whole issue. after what he did for x-men and battle chasers street figther just seems like the next obvious thing for him. the sadly brief 4 pages in sf #1 were so beautiful and i think if anyone could pump some serious life into the series its him. Id also love to see his take on the characters particularly more of the females like rose, cammy, and chun li. dont get me wrong, i totally support his choice for video game design it's something i look forward to someday but all of the screen shots from both attempts TOTALLY miss at capturing the true coolness to his work. and plus comics are so much more frequent then every other year seeing a few scans of his game designs. sorry to rant but joe is seriously the reason i ever got into comics and the sole reason i hope to draw them someday.

you know what, I was a full Manga love, untill I find Joe Mad comics on UXM so that my reason to love comics and Draw them someday.
